Between Friends

Lilies

bf The absence of the orphans' exuberant chatter was the first thing that Cagalli noticed as she stepped through the front doors. Arms laden with a bouquet of calla lilies, she made her way to the kitchen in search of a suitable container to put the elegant flowers in. Muted voices stopped her mid-stride. Her ears pricked up.

"Close your eyes and no cheating," Athrun purred seductively.

"Okay,"

"Open your mouth."

"Aaah,"

"Wider," a soft, yet firm command. "Hmm...that's better."

Cagalli flattened herself against the wall, edged closer and peered through the narrow gap between the open door and its frame.

"Okay, what flavour is it?"

Seated on the kitchen table, his three-quarters profile silhouetted against the warm amber rays that filtered through the frosted window panes, Kira tilted his head back, eyes shut. "Chocolate orange," he murmured, the tip of his tongue flicking across his lower lip.

"Good," A short pause. There was a sound of a lid being pried off a tub. "What about this one?"

Cagalli pressed her eye closer to the gap. The sight that greeted her made her breath catch.

"Mmmm," Kira's tongue swirled around Athrun's ice-cream coated fingers, and lingered longer than necessary. "Green tea."

"Aaah, very good." Another pause. "And this?"

Cagalli stiffened as Athrun pressed closer between the open V of Kira's legs and slid his fingers between Kira's lips. Her eyes went wide as saucers as her deviant twin leaned forwards, and linked his arms casually around Athrun's shoulders. Slowly, he began to rub himself against the dark-haired boy, like a cat on heat.

Kira had his back arched, his eyes closed, and a look of ecstasy etched on his face. "Pistachio," he breathed.

"Excellent," Athrun said in barely controlled breaths. "What about this one?"

"Mmmm, coffee," Kira seemed hesitant. "No wait. Not coffee ... can I have a bit more?"

"Sure." Athrun sounded smug. He scooped a generous helping into his mouth, dipped his face closer towards Kira. His tongue flickered across Kira's lips, teasingly, before sliding inside his wet and waiting mouth.

Cagalli's face felt hot, but she couldn't tear her eyes away from the scene unfolding before her eyes. She found herself inexplicably drawn deeper and deeper. Her conscience screamed at her to put a stop to the tomfoolery, but the devil in her was curious to see what would happen next. Cagalli held her breath.

After what seemed like eons, Kira broke the kiss and smiled. "Mocha. Definitely mocha,"

"You sure?" Athrun said doubtfully.

"Will you be happier if I say 'no'?" Kira purred teasingly.

"Will you say 'no'?" Athrun asked with a hint of playfulness.

Kira snickered. "Okay then, can we try the last flavour again?"

"Sure," Athrun's murmur was low and seductive. He grabbed a tub at random and scooped a large spoonful of ice cream into his mouth.

Cagalli fought down a wave of dizziness as soft moans filled the kitchen. She shuddered and closed her eyes, but there was nowhere to hide from the sounds; the rustling of clothes, the hot and heavy breathing. Minutes passed in a hazy blur and finally, the sounds subsided. Cagalli opened her eyes and peered through the gap. She watched, mesmerised, as Athrun's tongue snaked up her twin's neck, along his jaw line and into his ear.

"Athrun ..." Kira's soft, lilting alto seemed to caress each syllable. "Athrun please,"

There was a sudden noise as Athrun deftly climbed onto the sturdy dinner table, scattering the tubs of ice-cream in his haste. Cagalli clamped a hand across her mouth, to stop the short, sharp gasp from escaping her chest. Kira was flat on his back, hands clutching at Athrun's arms, calves wrapped around the back of Athrun's thighs as they kissed with a heated passion.

Sinking to her knees, Cagalli shivered uncontrollably, the calla lilies she was holding scattered at her feet. Broken.
